Other Fun Things in Naples

Are you going to Naples for the weekend? If so, there are some things that you can do to enjoy your time in Naples on the weekend. Below are four things that you can do when you only have a few days.

Go to Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park

Florida has a lot of beaches that you can go and visit, but their state parks are just as beautiful. This state park is one that a lot of people love, both locals and visitors. It has gorgeous views of the gulf, beautiful reefs for snorkeling, and pristine sandy beaches. Anglers and boaters have areas designated for them and there’s somewhere you can buy beverages, food and rentals for water activities. There are hiking trails where you can see native birds and wildflowers, or you can walk on the beach and collect shells.

Go to the Zoo

A nice thing to do with your family is to go to the Naples Zoo. You’re going to see over 70 animal species. You’ll also see beautiful tropical gardens dating all the way back to 1919. That’s when Dr. Nehrling, a botanist, planted the gardens. You can also go on a catamaran so that you can view primates on the islands in the man-made lake. You can also see two-toed sloths, ocelots and hedgehogs during the mammal programs of the zoo. It’s even possible to feed giraffes with your hands. You can also explore the mangroves and gardens.

Go to The Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples

This is a great place to allow a child’s imagination to go wild. They’ll be allowed to create structures in the exhibit called Build It or they can create art in the museum’s Art Studio, where they can learn about art through creating it. There’s also an exhibit about the Everglades, about farming, and a lot more. No matter what age your child is, there’s going to be a lot of things that they can do here.

Go Shopping

Fifth Avenue is known by many in New York. But Naples has their very own shopper’s dream in Fifth Avenue South. This is where you can find a lot of shopping, entertainment and dining areas. There are many diverse selections of foods that you can choose from, along with many options for shopping. You can find housewares, jewelry, clothing and shoe stores. There’s also close to 10 art galleries along the street, as well as a theater and playhouse.
These are four things that you can do to have fun in Naples. There are many ways that you can spend your weekend in Naples – these are just a few of them.
