As locals, we can proudly say that Naples is a beloved treasure for beach enthusiasts.
Our stunning white-sand beaches, the inviting warmth of the Gulf of Mexico waters, and those breathtaking sunsets are the essence of our coastal haven. With our well-earned reputation for immaculate shorelines and an inviting beach town atmosphere, Naples remains the ultimate choice for fellow beach lovers in search of their own piece of paradise.
If you’re looking to find your happy place on our sun-soaked shores, we’re happy to take you on a journey through Naples, guided by the firsthand experiences of four of our local employees who will share their favorite beaches as a little inspiration to guide your way.
So, if you’re wondering what are the best beaches to visit that aren’t on every tourist list, these are our four local favorite beaches in Naples.
1. Vanderbilt Beach

Kim was raised in New Jersey and cherished summers were spent on the beaches of The Jersey Shore and lakes in the Poconos Pines. After experiencing beach life down south, how could one go back to the cold waters up north?
She moved to Naples 7 years ago with her family and ever since, Kim’s beach loving family spends every weekend they can on the sand.
Kim loves visiting Vanderbilt Beach which is located in North Naples (Collier County).
This beach offers breathtaking views and is especially known for its stunning sunsets. You can walk right down the beach to grab a drink at Gumbo Limbo located at The Ritz Carlton. This beachfront restaurant offers dining and refreshments with a stunning view of the Gulf.
After spending the morning on the beach, Kim recommends lunch at Buzz’s Lighthouse, just down the street. It’s a local favorite that serves burgers, fries, cold beer and great fish sandwiches!
Vanderbilt Beach is also the perfect romantic place to pack a picnic basket, towel, and head down to grab a spot on the sand, just before sunset. Locals and visitors alike always let out a joyous cheer and clap when the beautiful sun sets over the Gulf.
Have Vanderbilt Beach in your backyard when you book one of our luxurious Vanderbilt Beach vacation rentals.
2. Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park

Initially hailing from Chicago, Kristen and her family discovered Naples as a vacation destination. Their deep affection for this beach town led them to invest in the local real estate market, eventually culminating in the establishment of their business.
Kristen prefers Delnor-Wiggins State Park due to its quieter ambiance compared to the other bustling beaches in Naples.
The locals call it “Wiggins” and this State Park is a prime location for those who love aquatic activities. It offers visitors the chance to partake in swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and kayaking in the pristine, transparent waters. This coastal setting also presents an ideal opportunity for marine life enthusiasts to observe dolphins and a diverse array of seabirds.
The park is also known for excellent shelling opportunities, with a variety of seashells often found along the shore.
Kristen recommends arriving early just as the park opens to be sure to gain entrance and get a parking spot before the park fills up. You may want to spend all day here, so don’t forget to bring the beach umbrella!
Sorrento Vacation Rental & Cabana is just down the street from Wiggins, making it the perfect place to stay if you prefer tranquil beach days, too.
3. 5th Ave. S Beach

Luis, a native New Yorker, once stood proudly in service to our great nation within the military’s ranks. However, when the time came for him to retire, he and his family made a life-altering decision: they chose to embark on a new adventure by relocating to the captivating shores of Naples.
As a local, the beach along Fifth Avenue South in Naples, Florida, is a cherished fusion of natural beauty and city living. The pristine white sands and crystal-clear waters invite relaxation and strolls along the beach.
What makes this spot even more special is how it effortlessly connects to the bustling Fifth Avenue South.
Luis recommends catching the sunset and then visiting the restaurants on Fifth Ave S. Here, we have high-end shopping, top-notch dining, and a thriving cultural scene. The evening vibes here are incredible, with live music, art galleries, and a diverse range of cultural events; it’s the heart of our coastal and urban life.
For the easiest access to 5th Ave S. Beach and its amenities, book your stay in Olde Naples.
4. Clam Pass Beach

Madelis is the head of Housekeeping for Naples Florida Vacation Homes and in her free time, she enjoys taking her family to the beach for sun and relaxation.
Madelis absolutely adores Clam Pass Beach, and it’s not hard to see why.
This little slice of Naples, Florida, has a unique charm. The boardwalk leading to the beach, weaving through the mangroves, is a magical journey in itself, immersing you in the vibrant coastal landscape.
Once you reach the beach, you’re greeted by powdery white sand, waters so clear you can see your toes, and an abundance of seashells waiting to be discovered. What makes it even more special is the tidal inlet, perfect for a swim or kayaking adventure, letting you get up close and personal with the marine life.
And let’s not forget the added perks of beachside dining and rentals that make her visits extra convenient.
Clam Pass Beach, with its natural beauty and easy access, is truly a gem of the beaches in Naples.
