1. Historic Palm Cottage

Known as the oldest house in Naples, The Palm Cottage was built in 1895 by a founding resident, Walter N. Haldeman. It’s now a museum run and preserved by the Naples Historical Society. It is now listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
The cottage was constructed of tabby mortar, which is handmade concrete that consists of sand, shells, and water. It has undergone work in more recent years to preserve it, and during renovations, it is said that tools would be mysteriously moved and cold spots would chill workers in various locations throughout the home.
There are also reports of a woman dressed in white roaming the grounds or looking out the cottage windows. Some people claim to have experienced the scent of roses wafting through the cottage with no explanation.
