In 1993, the Naples Botanical Garden was founded in by a visionary group of local plant enthusiasts. Today the Gardens welcome over 260,000 visitors annually to experience themed gardens that represent the culture and flora of the tropics.
This vibrant escape into a world of diverse plant life and serene natural beauty spans over 170 acres. The Naples Botanical Gardens showcase an impressive collection of over 1,000 plant species, meticulously arranged into 14 distinct garden areas.
Each themed garden, from the Asian Garden with its tranquil koi ponds and bamboo groves to the Brazilian Garden bursting with colorful bromeliads and orchids, transports visitors to different corners of the world. It’s one of the most impressive wonders you’ll experience.
What To Do & See At The Naples Botanical Garden
To explore the main pathways you’ll want to spend 1-2 hours in the gardens. However, you’d miss out on appreciating the finer details of each garden area.
Plan to enjoy the scenery for 3-4 hours on a leisurely stroll. This would allow you to visit most of the major gardens and take photos or relax in some of the beautiful spots.

Why visit: Selfie time- be sure to get a selfie under the oolite pergola, made famous by so many engagement photos. However, personal photo shoots, including engagement photos, must be scheduled in advance and require a fee.

The Evenstad Horticulture Campus is a 60,000 square foot, world-class facility that plays a vital role in the Gardens’ mission. Daily Tours And Family-Friendly Activities And Crafts
Guided Tours
Explore the gardens with a knowledgeable guide (included in your Garden Admission) who will illuminate the plant collections, explain natural processes, and highlight the importance of plants. Each tour is 45 minutes and does require a reservation.
Self-Guided Smartphone Audio Tours
Use your smartphone to follow along with narration, transcripts, photos, and videos at each tour stop, allowing for independent exploration at your own pace.
Birding In The Garden
Join local birding enthusiasts on Tuesday mornings from 8 to 10 AM for informal outings to spot the 215 documented species in this designated “birding hotspot.”
The W.O.N.D.E.R. Program

Family-friendly, drop-in programming is offered Wednesdays through Sundays. It motivates kids to explore the Gardens through activities related to a monthly theme. You can also pick up an Activity Pack at the Visitor Center before you venture out.
Where to Eat: Fogg Café
When hunger calls, the Fogg Café answers. Situated conveniently within the Visitor Center, the Fogg Café offers easy access after your exploration or before venturing into the gardens.
A great place for lunch, the cafe seating area has large windows that offer views of the surrounding gardens. Outdoor seating is also available.
The Fogg Café offers a fast-casual dining experience focusing on seasonal, fresh ingredients and moderate pricing.
